Our ceremony and reception will be on the afternoon of Saturday August 9th at the Valley Ford Hotel, located in the tiny town of - you guessed it - Valley Ford, Sonoma County, California. The hotel itself is also tiny, so guests will need to make arrangements to stay nearby. More information on travel and lodging is here.
The dress code for the wedding is very flexible - wear what makes you feel dashing. California tends to be relatively informal, but Genevieve does not feel that she needs to be the only one in a gown. Please bring layers, as it will be hot during the day, but will get quite chilly when the sun sets. There will be minimal walking, but some of it will be on uneven ground, so keep that in mind for your footwear. The reception will be largely on wooden decking, so ladies, avoid the spike heels.
The welcome party is casual, and will be held in a barn on the coast, so bring warm layers in case the fog rolls in. Think about dressing for the equivalent of fall on the east coast - so a real jacket, not just a shawl or wrap. Hopefully it will stay warm and sunny, but better to be prepared!
